The Beverley Minster Reredos Graffiti project is unusual amongst implementations of SVG in that it is not designed 'for' any particular browser. The website itself is written in W3C standards compliant mark-up, serving the correct tag for embedding SVG (object) to standards compliant browsers and degrading gracefully and compatibly by serving a deprecated tag to the browser which is the exception to the rule.
Indeed, the SVG files themselves conform to W3C specifications, so will render correctly in any browser which correctly implements the SVG 1.1 specification.
